The purpose of this guide is to increase awareness of the need for high security in industrial information and control systems. The guide shall also serve as a concrete support for those working within critical infrastructure. The first edition of this guide was published in 2008 and has re ceived a wide distribution, both nationally and internationally. It has also become standard in many sectors. With this third edition, the document’s name has been changed to Guide to Increased Security in Industrial Information and Control Systems. Through this name change, we would like to emphasise the increasing dependency between process IT and administration IT.
